"SELVA" Vida Sin Fronteras, is a non government International Organization, actively engaged in harmonizing social, economic
and political development with environment protection.
Founded by twelve women -eminent for their
theorical and practical contributions in the field of ecological and sustainable development over the past twenty years- the Foundation "SELVA" Vida Sin Fronteras was born simultaneously in Quito, Ecuador;
Santiago, Chile; Paris, France; Koln, Germany; The Hague, The Netherlands; and in New York, U.S.A.
The Founding and Principal members are cross generation professionals who
recognize that environment protection constitutes the only manner to guarantee the life of their children and their future generations. Aware of the need to
preserve the ecological balance of our Planet, the Foundation sustains the principle t hat a safe and ecologically balanced environment is a basic and
essential human right. Within this context, we believe that the implementation of concrete and viable environment protection programs, especially in fragile ecosystems of universal significance, has become an urgent
priority, which can not be delayed any longer.
