ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
The FSVSF conceives and implements sustainable development projects in universally significant and endangered
Eco-systems. Special emphasis is given to the Amazon Rain Forest; the Archipelago of Galapagos; and the Ecuadorian Province of Esmeraldas.
Sustainable development implies a harmonious balance between human activity and environment protection. Based on this
philosophy, the FSVSF promotes a sustainable development model that serves to consolidate an alternative development process, capable of generating economic surplus.
This is achieved by articulating environment protection with economic, social and cultural development. By providing positive solutions to serious problems in particularly vulnerable Eco-systems, this particular focus has distinguishes the FSVSF within the field of environment protection.
All FSVSF sustainable development projects incorporate a rotating capital fund. This fund guarantees the financial
autonomy of the project once the proposed objectives and planned activities have been financed and attained. Consequently, contributions towards the Foundation's activities can be conceived as
Sustainable Development Investment Seeds.
In this direction, we invite public and private entities, in collaboration with multi-lateral and bilateral
development assistance, to participate in the activities of the Foundation. In continuation, we present these for your consideration.
